Introduction
My name is Avery and while only six years old, I’ve been building Lego with my dad for 5 years. I started by helping my dad pressing pieces together for him and now I tackle large sets all on my own. There are many types of Lego sets that I enjoy building, including City, City Missions, Hidden Side, Dreamzzz, Galaxy Squad and many more. I’ve helped my mom build some of her flower sets as well. I decided I wanted my dad to help me do a list of my favorite sets that I helped build or did by myself. So here are my personal favorites:

I. Dreamzzz Fantastical Tree House
This was a set that I had gotten for Christmas in 2023. It was the largest set I had ever built. I tried to do this one on my own but had some issues at the beginning. My dad helped me get it back on track and I completed it from that point on. This past Christmas I got the Dreamzzz Nightmare Shark Ship, but haven’t put it together yet. Once I do, that will be the largest set I’ve put together.

II. Galaxy Squad Galactic Titan
This is one of my dad’s sets that he let me build. It took me three days to build this set and was one of my favorite ones to play with. There were several large battles set up on the living room floor as the humans fought the bug aliens. It was a large build, but not as confusing as the Tree House one. Galaxy Squad is one of my favorite Lego themes.

III. Lego Missions Water Police Detective Missions
What I like about this set is that you can build whatever you want for any mission. The app has a story about the mission as you are building the set. You have multiple ways to do the build. This mission is about the police trying to capture a criminal who escaped from jail. She has stolen money from the bank. This was one of my favorites!

IV. Hidden Side Paranormal Intercept Bus
This set is interesting because if you use your cellphone camera, you can capture ghosts on your phone. I loved the interactive things you can do with the set and the phone. Hidden Side is another theme that I love as Halloween is one of my favorite holidays! School has never been scarier. If you turn the two worker minifigures’ faces around, they will look like ghosts as the cover shows you.

V. UPSCALE MINIFIGURE
I like that this set looks like a giant minifigure, which is my favorite thing about Lego. I’m looking forward to when they do the race car driver version. Right now, there are two Harry Potter ones and a Pirate. I hope to build those in the future as well. Hopefully, I’ll make the biggest one ever.

HIDDEN SIDE GRAVEYARD MYSTERY
There are three Hidden Side sets that I have helped build so far. They are the school bus (as seen above), this graveyard set and the school. This one has several cool play features like the statue turns around, the tree becomes a monster and there are secrets hiding in the coffin. Just like the school bus, the phone can be used with the set to capture ghosts. I liked this set a lot!

HIDDEN SIDE NEWBURY HAUNTED HIGH SCHOOL
This was a fun set with several classrooms in the school. Like the other Hidden Side sets, it is fun to use with the mobile app, capturing ghosts along the way. My favorite part is you can turn the school upside down. By upside down, I mean it’s crazy, turning into a monster!

LEGO OPTIMUS PRIME
This set is of the leader of the Autobots, Optimus Prime! Just like the cartoon, this set transforms into a tractor trailer! This was a fun but difficult build. It is very fragile and can fall apart easily. He has weapons just like in the movie and the show.
